A staple in homes, on boat decks, and at backyard barbecues for years, this series incorporates many popular elements of Gold Medal chair designs from the latter half of the 20th century. Straight lines and simple, sleek design make this series our top seller. Hand-shaped arm pads and sculpted back posts complete this contemporary design. Well suited for residential, commercial, or trade show use. Two coats of finish ensure lasting beauty. Please note that while we encourage you to enjoy your Gold Medal Director’s Chair anywhere you choose, these chairs are not outdoor furniture. As such, they should not be stored outdoors or left outdoors for prolonged periods of time. Doing so will probably ruin the finish and will certainly void the manufacturer’s warranty. If you use your chairs outdoors they should be returned indoors and away from direct sunlight when not in use. Seat measures 30″ from the floor when in use. Weight limit: 350 pounds. The chair which wears my personalized bowling tagname Grasshopper (due to my love for learning, just like the little Grasshopper in KUNG FU), turned out nice. It gives a look of both elegance and nostalgia to my bedroom which is painted turquoise blue. In the future I’ll add a high top table for reading at in my director’s chair. If you want a chair that’s unique, nostalgic and classy, buy yourself a director’s chair.

Awesome job, Loved the chair, the color and the embroidery job. I needed to order for my husband’s birthday, they told me it would arrive right on time for his birthday but it actually arrived 3 days earlier!!! I know this may not be something they can do all the time but I emailed their customer service department and they gave their best estimates for shipping and responded in a timely fashion.

I was shocked by how fast the chair arrived – I ordered dangerously close to Christmas 2020 and chose not to spring for expedited production/delivery, so I fully expected the chair to arrive in early January, but it was on my doorstep only 3 or 4 days after I ordered! The website said the top row of embroidered text would be a larger font size than the bottom row, but when I received the chair, both rows of embroidered text were the same font size – not a problem at all for me, but if you feel strongly about that, then make sure to discuss it when you respond to the proof/confirmation email.
