With the addition of rockers to a standard 18″ Contemporary chair, we’ve created a new standard-bearer when it comes to comfort and relaxation in a director’s chair. Whether at home, at your condo, or on your houseboat, front-porch-sittin’ will never be the same again. Hand-shaped arm pads and sculpted back posts complete this contemporary yet timeless design. Well suited for residential, commercial, or trade show use, the Gold Medal Rocking Director’s Chair utilizes the same heavy-duty round-stick canvas set as all other Gold Medal Director’s Chairs. Two coats of finish ensure lasting beauty. Please note that while we encourage you to enjoy your Gold Medal Director’s Chair anywhere you choose, these chairs are not outdoor furniture. As such, they should not be stored outdoors or left outdoors for prolonged periods of time. Doing so will probably ruin the finish and will certainly void the manufacturer’s warranty. If you use your chairs outdoors they should be returned indoors and away from direct sunlight when not in use. Seat measures 18″ from the floor when in use. Weight limit: 350 pounds. This was a total disaster of a purchase! When I received my chair, I could tell that a lot of detail went into making the chair. It was beautiful. However, I noticed that the screws on the side were in wrong. It was noticeable and I also didn’t want it to break. It was clear that whoever looked over it before packaging didn’t do their job. I reached out to customer service about it. She told me they would send a new chair right away. A week or so later, she asked if I would accept new screws in case it broke. Which was interesting because in the previous email she said a new one would be shipped right away. I let her know I was expecting a new chair that wasn’t made incorrectly. A week or so later she asked me again if I had shipped the chair. I had sent a picture of the chair so they could see it was made incorrectly. This was horrible customer service!
Our order was not delivered by the in-hands date even though I had called to confirm prior to ordering. We had to fight with them to get them to ship them overnight-air at their cost even though they admitted it was their error. Then received the canvas back printed in the wrong color even though it was noted on both the initial order and discussed again after they sent it wrong in the proof. They said they would send new canvas backs printed correctly and still have not received. A very poor experience. I hope they make it right and send the new backs as promised.
